After the temperatures were already very high at the beginning of February, we could start this year earlier with carp fishing. In my first short trips I experimented a lot with new baits and unfortunately blanked 3 times without a single fish. For this reason I changed my tactics and tried it with coated (cultured) boilies, which are dissolving quickly even in cold water temperatures. I put my bait under an overhanging tree in relatively shallow water and had to wait almost 5 hours before I could land my first fish of the year. A mirror carp with 15 pounds. A few days later I tried my luck again with the same tactics and was able to catch my first scale carp of 2021. Considering that it is still winter, I am very happy with the start of the season.
